Wakefield Road black spot

Yesterday was the sunniest and warmest day of the year (well it felt like it), i had Travis on the old tape deck and was barking along to 'Sing' feeling very summery. I was driving passed Staincross Golf Club when the traffic started to slow...getting a bit impatient i started to implement f words into the song. 'Fucking Sing, Sing Sing Fucking Sing...'. Anyway, little did i know the traffic had slowed because of a car that had a smashed windscreen, oh must be a stray stone or something....so i started to move around the car with the flow of the traffic...only to see a body on the right handside of the road, laying across the concrete. An apple appeared in my throat. Couldn't swallow. A woman was crying on the side of the road, either the driver or a relation. The body was covered in white plastic cover and could only see the shoes. I assume it was a man. Paramedics were around the body but didn't look to be doing much. Which leads me to believe that there was nothing they could do for the person. I hope to god i'm wrong and sincereley hope that person is going to be ok. I spare a thought for the family and people involved. And makes me think. Harder than i have done of late. That life is too short. You always think it can't happen to you. I wonder if the victim of the accident thought that, and the driver too. And makes me wonder, is football so important??? Is BFC so important??? It is to me. I'm not saying that it's more important than life itself, but it has a very important and significant place in my life. I may not go to away games that often, only to local derbies mostly, but when i go to a Barnsley match i experience laughter, excitement, frustration, confusion, dissapointment, a burnt tongue and minging pies...its all part of the Barnsley experience...it's all part of life.

Why the fek haven't the council done anything about it. There have always bin accidents on that part of Wakefield road and 3 that i know of this year, with 2 fatalities at least. There are four junctions compressed into about 100 yds worth of road. Traffic bombing from both directions...its lethal. Why can't the council see this???

Search engine woes!!

I find a lot of people talking about search engines. Not about how they make our life easy but, about how bad they are. I feel any search engine works in its own way[ algorithm ]. It is necessary to tune the parameters in the algorithm depending on the growth of web and with the rise of new kind of data getting available. we could only take a probabilistic approach to the NP problem or have new heuristics depending on the data to be searched.
